Building skills and reviving purpose.

Cross Roads House is more than a hot meal and a clean bed. Cross Roads House holds the promise of a fresh start and ample opportunity to improve one's circumstances.

The journey back to stable and decent housing begins as soon as residents arrive. Each resident receives a comprehensive needs assessment. We then address any crisis needs. We help set long term goals and develop a specific plan of action for each situation. We also provide counseling and teach new skills. Our residents leave Cross Roads House with practical tools to help prevent them from becoming homeless again.

Cross Roads House has both emergency and transitional shelter programs. Emergency shelter is available to adults and families without other housing available. A safe place to sleep, hot meals, and other basic needs such as telephone, mail, internet access, and laundry are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our transitional program offers support, guidance, activities, and community connections that are crucial to making a timely and successful transition from homelessness. In addition, our transitional program helps our residents find permanent housing, and gives participants the skills necessary to regain stability in their life.
